Qu’Adrian was born in Muskegon, Michigan and his love for music began at an early age. Qu’Adrian was able to construct melodies on his own before he learned that music is actually an entity or profession. He also began learning to play the piano before starting grade school. From elementary, he studied music, learning to play many of the musical instruments from the brass, woodwind, and percussion sections.
When Qu’Adrian was 13 years old, his family relocated to Memphis, TN. In essence, Memphis is where he first became a church musician. He also took interest in singing when he attended Northside High school in Memphis, so he become a member of a singing group. He served as a singer and as the one who constructed the many of the group’s complex song arrangements, harmonies, and lyrics. Upon graduating from high school, Qu’Adrian moved to Nashville, TN to fulfill one of his dreams of playing the trumpet for the Tennessee State University Aristocrat of Bands. Upon fulfilling that dream and returning to Memphis, he quickly began playing in the church again while continuing to develop his musical skills.
Qu’Adrian already knew he could play piano, organ, several other musical instruments, and teach voice parts so he decided to record. After recording at various studio venues throughout the city of Memphis, he was not satisfied with the quality of the productions in which he was being provided. He knew he had the potential to produce his own material with a better quality. Thus, he invested in his own studio equipment, with a goal of opening a recording studio in the city of Memphis.
Jodeci, R. Kelly, Boyz II Men and Take 6 are the favorites and biggest musical influences of his life. He knew that R. Kelly was producing every aspect of all of his own music. He also considers Take 6 to have the best harmony arrangements of all musical history. Therefore, he wanted to produce his own music while producing other artists. In essence, he opened his recording studio in Memphis and quickly began doing just that.
Qu’Adrian’s talents are not solely limited to music. He is also an actor who has played several character and singer roles for gospel stage plays, and one movie. Qu’Adrian plays the role of “Male Suspect with gun” in a Sony/Provident film entitled “The Grace Card” (www.gracecardmovie.com), featuring Louis Gossett Jr. Though his role in this movie wasn’t musically related, acting is indeed a talent he possesses.
As a result, McQuarterBack Entertainment LLC was established in Memphis, TN. Qu’Adrian is passionate about music, the perfecting process of his craft, advancing his career as an artist, and growing McQuarterBack ENT. Even as an artist, he creates all of his own music. The way he uses and delivers his musical gifts will continue to reach the inner souls of many for years to come.
